Therefore , we had to do a pot of promotion , and by doing giveaway and giving out samples , demand started to pick up . After a while we also introduced pot roses , which are also a new introduction in Kenya , and we really underestimate how popular they were live on to be , as we did n’t have enough supply for the demand at one dot . ” According to Verjee , another challenge has been the shifting of trends . “ Sometimes a certain flower is in really high demand and everyone wants them . As a termination , we jump growing many more of them and then eight weeks later nobody wants them anymore . This quickly lurch popularity of certain prime has been a challenge for us . ”Adapting to the pandemicIn addition , mighty when people started to get concerned in EZ Plants ’ compartmentalization , the pandemic started . “ Supermarkets and garden centers were now suffer very limited movement , so we had to adapt and we started focalise on door - to - threshold deliveries , which has been working great . In addition , we decided to put up for the new nurseryman by bring out a ‘ kitchen collection ’ with onions and love apple plants , for model , that are perfect for everyone who has been stay at home . ”Focusing on colorsEZ Plants also leave a slew of flowers for landscaping companionship , as there was a need for more assortment . “ There are garden heart and other companies around , but most of those focal point on indoor works and lots of greens . And if there are some colorful flowers available , it is difficult to get many of those at the same clip . Therefore , we are filling a crack by providing lots of colorful choices . If a Kenyan landscape gardening company needs 2000 pansies , they can order them from us without any trouble . ”The future of EZ Plants“We are continuously expanding our assortment , and are hope to do indoor plant as well as more unique assortment in the future . We are also noticing an increase demand for eatable flush in Kenya , as they are currently popular in restaurants , so that is another aspect we desire to focalise on .
