Succulent Containers and Lush Gardens in Eastern Canada

" I garden on the east seacoast of Canada . We have many foggy twenty-four hour period and unremarkably wet periods in the summertime . Not so , this retiring summertime . Probably the most thought-provoking aspect of trying to garden successfully is the malarky .

Nevertheless , I have a turgid succulent collection with some cacti . They are a challenge to keep felicitous in these conditions but always surprise me with their validity . When they start look too sad , I chop their heads off and replant them . They do not get as large and lush as I would wish because of the elements .

I overwinter many plants in a sun lounge and a greenhouse way that has three stands of grow lights . I hang up mature sparkle from the sunroom ceiling . I also have a ingathering of phormium as they are so spectacular and tough beside the ocean .

My love is container gardening . My next electronic mail will have a few more container pix . My hubby made me 13 fiber glass boxes that attend to as windowpane boxes and boxes for our 80 ft ocean side deck . They are faint enough that I can manage them myself .
