Upcycling old windows into a functional work of art

Barb Stigen is sharing picture today of an incrediblegreenhouseshe created with her hubby in Alaska . It all started with 36 old-fashioned stained - glass windows Barb purchased at an auction bridge , and then her talented hubby build up a greenhouse out of them . The last effect is marvelous !

Annualsin pots and hang baskets accent the beautiful glass on the front of the greenhouse .

The nursery sits to the side of impeccably maintainedraised bedsfull of vegetables .

The long side of the greenhouse is tarnish chalk as well ! This is rightfully a work of prowess , but it ’s also running . The ceiling reckon to be made from polycarbonate , which does n’t shatter like glass and get lots of luminance in for the plants inwardly to thrive .

And can we talk about this beautifulvegetable garden ? Everything looks so intelligent and perfect , from thecarrotsand beets in the back to thepeasclimbing up in front of the greenhouse , to the youngsquashplants in the foreground .

The other side of the greenhouse is just as beautiful , with flowering annual at the groundwork of a birch rod ( Betulasp . ) tree diagram . note the lamp chimney at the back of the glasshouse , a sign that hotness is cater inside during the cold time of the year . In warmer climates , air out for fond , sunny days would be at least as important , if not more so .

If potential , the glasshouse is even more beautiful lit up at night !
