Today we ’re off to New Jersey to visit Sini ’s garden .

I ’m SO JEALOUS of thisgreenhouse ! What a perfect safety valve from a snowy , inhuman wintertime to have a petty nursery full of green growing thing !

The same greenhouse in the summertime , withtomatoesgrowing inside . Simple greenhouses can be useful in the summertime as well as the wintertime , helping heat energy - loving plants boom in cool - summer clime .

It ’s strong to resolve which is more beautiful — the sun lighting up the sky or the abundant efflorescence on thesaucer magnolia(Magnolia×soulangeana , Zones 4–9 ) .

A matureredbud(Cerciscanadensis , Zones 4–9 ) covered with its iconic magentaspring bloom . This tree , aboriginal to eastern North America , is not only beautiful in the garden , but its edible flowers are beautiful scattered over a salad .

A spring scene of what looks to be the classicRhododendron‘PJM ’ ( Zones 4–8 ) , which is one of the most beautiful and most easily develop of the rhododendron .

Bearded irises ( Irishybrids , Zones 3–9 ) come in a mind - boggling array of colors and radiation diagram , but it is hard to beat this classic , rich blue .
