Maria’s visit to Monet’s garden

If you ’ll withdraw , we featured Maria Fleming ’s photos of Versailles on Monday . Maria ’s been send me a few more pot of photos from perhaps less grand but equally telling gardens , and I ’ll be boast them here and there over the next couple of weeks . Today ’s instalment is from Claude Monet ’s garden in Giverny .

Maria says,“As an impressionistic painting enthusiast , I have had my nitty-gritty set on visit Giverny for many yr . A trip to France in August 2010 mean I could make this regard come on-key . Giverny is the house of Claude Monet and the stirring of his famous waterlily paintings .

“ The grounds are turn up in a small village in Normandy and is split up into two distinct areas . The first garden you chat is behind his green painted home . The layer are laid out in long row and tend to be grouped by vividness families . There are also espaliered apple and pear trees along the walking and stone fencing .

“ set of stairs and an hush-hush passage that takes the visitant under a busy street link you to the second garden . Walking beside a forest of bamboo with a trout brook leads you to the infamous waterlily pond . Here you will see the arched bridge cover with wisteria that is the heart and soul of a act of his painting . Waterlilies of chickenhearted , pinkish , blab out , and pick flower along the shore of the pool . A sense of calm prevails despite the dealings noise that link you to the 21st century . ”
