Long Shots of the Garden

These are photos taken by my boy with his super - duper camera . Unfortunately it was a dull , mirky day and make quite late , but it is a good way to get a feel for how the garden is laid out .

So this tour pop out on the terrace outside the back door . The clipped atomic number 47 foliage on the left isPyrussalicifolia‘Pendula ’ which is leisurely to clip into a smashing mop shape which I have done . If it was n’t so skinny to the business firm I might let it weep . you’re able to see the grassy path on the far right which leads into the orchard . In the pic   above we have walked down now and we are bet back towards the family . If you go round the quoin on the right you will find   the bench and summer planetary house . On the left is an old pool . We will just walk down the orchard and seem back . I am not snuff it to say too much about it right now as I intend to spell about it in another post . I like the idea of have broad course curving through the daffodil and later hazardous flowers here . But the piano player who mows seems to favour isosceles trigon . Next year I will lay out hose pipe to intimate winding paths and   perhaps we can get away from the geometric facial expression . On the far right field is   my Modern tone potager , a task that has been taking up all our time and energy for the last three weeks . I will write about in another metre .   Now we will make our way back to the pond on the left . It ’s looking a bit scummy at the second because of pollen from the crying willow tree .   This is the view towards the summertime mansion . Let ’s take the air round and look back towards the woodlet . This is one of many old apple trees I have which I love . I do n’t live whether the moss does them any harm but I reckon it looks endearing . you’re able to see some undercoat elder round the base of the tree . It ’s the bane of my life .   you could get back towards the menage by walking past the old greenhouse under this tree . When we get   a good orchard apple tree craw the glass gets broken . Whoever put the greenhouse just there did n’t think it through . If we take the air on past the sheds which are one-time stables and not set to be seen we find a lovely previous wall . It ’s a good place for the Vicar to model and wait until I walk forth so that he can get back to the fun job of biting the heads off the Fritillaries . On the other side of the wall are two more venerable older apple trees and quite a little of Hellebores in Spring . If we carry on down a routine we come to the gate which I plan for my old garden . I ’m afraid we had to have to have the opening in the wall made a bit big to accommodate it . The peak is on the greengage tree . Just a lilliputian further on and we chance the lovelyTropaeolum tricolorwhich survives the winter with the protection of the bulwark . If we walked on down here we ’d total to the other greenhouse but that is enough for today . We have n’t looked at the spring treasures on the other side of the wall but that will have to be another day .

Oh , the gate ! the gate ! I love it … the web , the froggie , the thrust prime , how wonderful ! What ’s the yellow - bloom shrub in the background knowledge of the moss - covered apple tree ? So decent of you to post this garden tour so I can vicariously enjoy spring in your land from my chair in front of my calculator . give thanks you so much . When is tea served ? ( Smile . )

Chloris , it ’s a lovely garden and I felt as though I was walk along , getting a guide tour . The logic gate is a chef-d’oeuvre and the Vicar was a decent touch ( even if he is a risque bird ) . I ’ve never see a Tropaeolum like that – is it one-year or recurrent ?
