Beautiful scenes from the desert
Carol is taking us on the road today to warm , wry , Arizona .
I call up I ’d link in and deal some photos I pack while on the route of late . I traveled from Philadelphia to Phoenix and had the chance to visit theDesert Botanical Gardenin Phoenix as well as theBoyce Thompson Arboretumin Superior . I ’m afraid I wo n’t be much assistance with plant Idaho sinceSouthwesternplants are not my area of expertness , but I thought your lector my be inspire by the images .
The Desert Botanical Garden was featuring an display by Dale Chihuly that was quite witching in the evening when I see . The Boyce Thompson Arboretum was amazing too — verynaturalisticand expansive .

The iconic saguaro cactus ( Carnegieagigantea , Zones 9–11 ) is one of the largestcactusspecies , reaching over 40 feet tall , and it lives longer than 150 years . These are at the Desert Botanical Garden .
Desert gardens do n’t have to be austere . With the right industrial plant choices even a verydry gardencan be riotous and green looking .

A crazy - looking plant in the garden — any desert garden expert sleep together what this might be ?
This saguaro cactus has a monstrose growth , which is a chance mutation that changes the growth of the cactus and produces this unusual crested material body on the top .

The sleep of the exposure are from the Boyce Thompson Arboretum , including this beautifulsucculentdisplay .
The arboretum includes views of beautiful natural features and some of the iconic rock formation of the domain .
I think this isAloeferox(Zones 9–11 ) or a related mintage or hybrid .
