This gardener describes her creation as “wild and free”
Lisa Stone shared today ’s photos with us . Here ’s what she had to say :
I ’ve been garden at Penner - Ash Winery in Newberg , Oregon , for about 10 class . I am a nurseryman and garden room decorator . I get many of the plants as well as seeding area with shirley poppies(Papaver rhoeas , annual ) , sunflowers(Helianthus annuus , annual ) , etc . There is a vegetable garden I tend for the employees and visiting chefs . I think you’re able to see some of the raised bed in the photos .
My approach to the gardens is groundless and free and hopefully a delight to the eyes ! Large groupings of sunflowers are planted in every bottom . The bee love the drifts of lavender(Lavandulaspp . ,Zones 5–8 ) , echinacea(Echinacea purpurea , Zones 4–9 ) , and sunflower . I call this garden controlled chaos . It is my joyousness .

Flowery borders overflowing with colouring . The vines of the vineyard are visible in the screen background .
Blue spires of delphinum ( Delphinium elatum , Zones 2–7 ) and lupin ( Lupinus polyphyllus , Zones 3–8 ) in the foreground , with the vegetable garden beyond .
Delphiniums with a view ! Beautiful blossom up close , and a striking landscape beyond .

Not just the flowers get a great view . How rattling would it be to make relaxed in these wooden chairwoman , surround by great gardens with sweeping vista in front of you ?
A stopping point - up of Lisa ’s “ controlled topsy-turvyness . ” Rudbeckia ( Rudbeckia hirta , Zones 3–7 ) , echinacea , sunflower , and delphinium all jumble in wild abandon .
The loose , hazardous show of this planting is restrain from looking mussy by its narrow coloration scheme . Yellow blossom and foliage mingle with mass of diffuse purple flowers of lavender . This planting picture that when it comes to color in the garden , a limited pallet can be the most efficient .

An even closer smell at the yellow - and - lavender colour strategy . Yellow comes from rudbeckia and the variegated leaves of motley yucca ( Yucca filamentosa‘Color Guard’,Zones 5–10 ) , which contrast with the fragrant spikes of lavender .
