A garden styled to fit a beautiful old space
Hello , hunky-dory horticulture . It ’s Jojo again(Jojo ’s Lancaster Garden),and do I have a phenomenal prime turn for you ! The Malus pumila does not fall far from the tree diagram . I learned everything from my spectacular , beautiful female parent . She is virtuoso in everything she does , including bloom gardening . She is a skilled ornamentalist , efflorescence nurseryman , candlemaker , and naive antique dealer . She is as whimsical as her flower garden , as topiaries are her absolute favorite . Everything she relate turn to gold .
The two of us on Mother ’s Day . It was the perfect day for a fire to keep us strong from the damp , cold rain .
My mother ’s house , in Coatesville , Pennsylvania , was build in 1740 .

My mother lovestopiarygardens . She is a truecontainer gardener . These are her rosemary(Salviarosmarinus , Zones 7–10 ) and lavender(Lavandulastoechas , Zones 7–10 ) topiaries . She also has several gorgeous lemon cypress(Cupressus macrocarpa‘Goldcrest ’ , Zones 7–10 ) topiary .
Full of whimsy , my mother loves head planters and bonk just what to institute in them to make them depend alive .
It ’s a magical retreat whenever we visit .

Many topiaries dot the landscape .
It ’s so adorable to sit around here and have lunch . The overhead rooter is glorious .
Thefernsare always the stars of the show .

I cogitate theDicondra‘Silver Falls ’ ( Zones 8–10 or as an annual ) looks stunning spilling over this headway planter . My female parent definitely keep this full space reminiscent of the 1740s .
Thefig tree(Ficus carica , Zones 7–10 ) is show splendiferous signs of living . I can not expect to taste these fruit .
This primitive tub is now anherb garden .

The summertime kitchen is informal and woolgathering . It was once my mother ’s shop class .
One last panorama of this witching garden space .
